BRIEF
Everyday spending decisions can become stressful when users know their bank balance, but aren't sure how much is actually safe to spend. ClearSpend explores how budgeting can provide clarity at the moment of decision, rather than simply tracking spending after it happens.
WHAT I DID
I reframed the problem around decision confidence, explored different spending interventions, mapped the core interaction flow and designed the mobile experience around one key moment: deciding whether a purchase fits within the user's budget.
OUTCOME
ClearSpend became a focused budgeting concept that helps users understand their spending position before making a purchase. Rather than telling users whether they should spend, the experience provides timely context so they can make the final decision themselves.
A budgeting system that shows when it’s safe to spend, reducing hesitation and guilt in everyday decisions.
